FAQ - Bump & Baby (Pre-Loved Consignment UAE)

Bump & Baby is a Dubai-based curated pre-loved marketplace for maternity, baby, and kids' items. We give high-quality pieces a second life through a simple consignment model, making sustainable shopping easy, affordable, and trusted for parents.

You drop off or send your items to us. We carefully review, price, photograph, and list them across our channels (website, Instagram, WhatsApp, and pop-ups). When your items sell, you earn a commission while we manage everything end-to-end.

Item Acceptance & Quality Standards

We accept maternity wear, baby clothes, kids’ clothing, baby shoes and accessories in excellent condition.
All items must be:

• Clean and freshly washed
• Free from stains, damage, or strong odours
  

Once your item is sold and the consignment period ends (6 months, extendable for up to 3 additional months), we process your payment.

Before your items go live, you will receive a Consignor Summary Form, including:

• A full list of all accepted items
• The agreed selling price for each item
• The estimated total earnings you can expect if all items sell

This ensures full transparency from the start, so you always know exactly what is listed and what you stand to earn.

• Cash payments are made via bank transfer at the end of the consignment cycle.
• You will receive a final sales summary before payment is issued.

If you choose store credit, it is issued as soon as your item is sold and includes an extra 5% bonus value to use across our collection. 

All prices are set by Bump & Baby based on brand, condition, demand, and resale value in the UAE market. We may also adjust prices during the selling period to improve sales performance.

You can earn up to 45% commission on each item sold, depending on the category and price of the item.

You earn a percentage of the final selling price per item:

• AED 0–99 → 25% cash / 30% store credit
• AED 100–299 → 30% cash / 35% store credit
• AED 300–499 → 35% cash / 40% store credit
• AED 500–999 → 40% cash / 45% store credit

If your items do not sell within the agreed selling period, we will notify you. You can choose to: extend the selling period, collect your items back, or donate them (optional sustainable option).

Yes. You can request the return of unsold items at any time during or after the consignment period, subject to collection terms.

We typically list items for up to 180 days (6 months). After this period, we will review the next steps with you (return, extension, or donation).

Yes. You can choose to receive your earnings as store credit, which can be used to shop pre-loved items on our platform, or as a cash payout.

Store credit is often rewarded with additional value or perks (such as bonuses or priority access), making it a popular choice among our community of parents.

No. We handle everything for you — including professional photography, styling, and listing your items on our platform.

Yes. Items must be clean, in good condition, and ready for resale when submitted. We may reject items that do not meet quality standards.

You can drop off your items at our location or use our collection service (if available in your area). Full instructions are provided after registration.

Once your items are received, they are usually processed and listed within a few days, depending on volume and seasonality.
